Preble Street Extension Closure Set for April 5 -7

The ongoing construction of the Preble Street Sewer Separation project will require the closure of Preble Street Extension from Friday, April 5th at 9 PM through Sunday, April 7 at 9:00 PM. The closure will allow the City’s contractor to install a deep manhole and 36” siphon pipe under the existing box culvert in Preble Street Extension at Marginal Way as part of the Preble Street Infrastructure Project.

Motorists will be directed to use Forest Avenue as a detour route to access Preble Street from Marginal Way while the Preble St Extension is shut down.

Motorists on Elm Street will be directed to use Marginal Way to Forest Avenue while Preble St Extension is shut down.

As long as the weather remains nice with little rain, the Preble Street work should be complete during the weekend closure.
