Mobile Medical Outreach Project Needs Your Help this Holiday Season!


Portland’s Mobile Medical Outreach Project, a collaboration between the City’s Health & Human Services and Fire Departments, needs your help this holiday season. The Mobile Medical Outreach Project provides basic medical care, education and referral services to homeless adults in Portland.

Firefighters will be collecting the following items beginning Wednesday, December 6th:

  • New Socks
  • New men’s and women’s undergarments
  • New or gently used adult clothing
  • New or gently used adult boots, shoes, winter jackets
  • New or gently used adult mittens, gloves, hats
  • Backpacks, small rolling luggage, duffle bags
  • Hand and foot warmers
  • Cases of bottled water
  • Individually-wrapped snacks
  • Walmart, Target or Hannaford Gift Cards for staff to purchase items are also welcome!

Items can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Central Fire Station, 380 Congress Street
  • Munjoy Hill Fire Station, 134 Congress Street
  • Rosemont Fire Station, 212 Stevens Avenue
