Hello neighbors!

Spring is here and with it a few terrific events:

Monday, May 27th: Deering Center Memorial Day Procession and Commemoration. Our own beautiful dedication starts at Longfellow School at 2pm and proceeds up to Evergreen Cemetery for the Commemoration which will feature former Governor John Baldacci, and Justin Costa, District 4 City Councilor and a Deering Center neighbor.

Sunday, June 2nd: Longfellow Annual Spring Fair. Many think this is the funnest event of the year! Out back of Longfellow from 1 - 4pm, if it rains will be in the gym. Features inflatable obstacle course, bbq, bake sale, face painting, crafts, 50/50 raffle, carnival games, prizes, watermelon(!), fire truck, bike parade and safety check, lemon stickers, and so much more!

Saturday, June 8th: Lincoln Middle School's "Almost Out" 5K. This fun community race is the primary fundraising event of the Lincoln PTO. The famous Lincoln Middle School "T" will be awarded to the first 125 registrants. You can register here.  Also a great event just to watch and cheer!

Hope to see many of you out and about!
Best, Deering Center Neighborhood Association
