absentee voting is now underway for the november 6 election

The Clerk's Office has begun conducting absentee voting by mail, phone, or in person. People wishing to vote in person can do so at City Hall in the State of Maine Room on the 2nd Floor. Hours are 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. On November 1 only, the Clerk's Office will stay open until 7:00 PM for the final day to request an absentee ballot or for in person absentee voting at City Hall.

Same day voter registration is allowed at polling places on Election Day. Citizens must provide proof of identity and residency.
